About Us
Fleet Specialties Co. was established in 1984 by several ex-aerospace and electronics engineers and managers, and dedicated their product and design skills to bring new and unique electronic products to the automotive and transportation markets. With projects inspired by Department of Transportation (D.O.T.), programs, Fleet Specialties was instrumental in the development and introduction of several new technologies and products for the trucking and transportation industries.
Among the innovative products previously developed and marketed by Fleet Specialties are the “Video Mirror System™” rear viewing CCTV system for vehicular use; “The Backing Radar™” ultra-sonic sensing systems; and the “TransCam™” on-board video security system for metro-bus and rail car applications.
Fleet Specialties is currently developing its next generation of Tire Sentry products to replace earlier TPMS models for various classes of on-highway and off-highway vehicles.
Fleet Specialties Div. is a wholly owned subsidiary of FTC Inc., a privately held California Corporation, and is engaged in the manufacturing of advanced Tire Pressure monitoring systems.
